Greensprings Loop Trail

Oct 7th (Tuesday) 10:00 am

2.8 miles, 330 ft elevation. Be prepared for hills and possible slippery conditions. No tennis shoes. I recommend hiking shoes/boots and poles if you need them for the old growth (shady) section.

Limit 12 hikers.

This route takes you around Green Springs Mountain from the Greensprings Mountain Trailhead. It is a beautiful trail that features a clear view of Mount Ashland and some enjoyable elevation changes. The paths are well-marked but can be overgrown in some sections, so wearing long pants is recommended.

Meet at the parking at the turn off to Little Hyatt Lake Rd or carpool from Rite Aid in Ashland at 9:30. I will be at the Rite Aid and will leave at 9:30 sharp. It's only a 27 minute drive to the trailhead. I'll meet the rest of you at the Little Hyatt Lake turn off (14.6 miles from the exit (14). This a great hike though old growth, meadows and arid plain. There will probably be some nice colors on the trees below and in Ashland, which is visible from the north side of the hike.

If you need to carpool, text me at 541-301-5374 so I know who will be meeting there. Limit 12.
